DIVIDED NATION? UK ON ST GEORGE'S DAY British people are becoming less patriotic and more than three-quarters living in England think it is a worse place to live than 20 years ago, a Sky News survey reveals.
Yahoo and AP Go Nuts Over Projected Clinton Win
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 18:21:25 PDT
Yahoo is bullshitting heavily on the PA election: From the actual article (emphasis mine): The former first lady was winning 53 percent of the vote to 47 percent for her rival with 9 percent of the vote counted, and she hoped for significant inroads into Obama’s overall lead in the competition for delegates to the Democratic National Convention. I’ve completely had it with news outlets claiming a 6 percent win projected with 9 percent of the vote is somehow “crucial” or “decisive”. This

For the American Idol top 6 performance show, the theme was the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. The American Idol finalists flew to the Phantom of the Opera theatre in Las Vegas to meet with Andrew Lloyd Webber. Because of the difficulty of the songs, judge Randy Jackson predicted it would be the toughest night of the season. Syesha Mercado sang “One Rock N’ Roll Too Many.” Randy Jackson said, “I think you could be a huge Broadway star.” Paula Abdul said, “You’ve brought the house down righ
Pony: The Weaning Blues

The Weaning Blues No one warned me about this: I have been feeling heavy of heart these days and flimsy of constitution. Sad movies destroy me. The news is almost unbearable unless parsed by Jon Stewart. I remember when I was a kid and we used to think that moms were made of frail stuff if they couldn't "take" the violent films we loved. But now I get it - I see everyone as someone's kid. I have accumulated and internalized every story about harm to a child - the abduction, the bizarre

This is how dedicated I am to bringing you the full picture of primary coverage: I'm watching Fox News. You're welcome. This is the Fox News coverage team: Brit Hume, Chris Wallace, Bill Kristol, Fred Barnes and Karl Rove. I am not making this up. Oh, and Juan Williams. Fox News called it for Hillary at 8:45pm. If you wouldn't call it at 8pm, why call it at 8:45pm with just 1% of votes counted? This is the big debate on all networks right now: Was Obama was really trying to win Pennsylvania?
PA Primary: 7:30pm Update
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 18:25:26 PDT
CNN's exit polls indicate voters thought Hillary's attacks on Obama were unfair ... yet the same polls show voters who decided in the last week broke towards Hillary. There are a couple of sites claiming to have overall exit poll results ... but as Brendan Loy points out, early overall exit polls have been wrong and skewed towards Obama. There are reports of record high turnout ... but four years ago, the Democratic race had been over for 10 weeks when PA voted. Did you hear all three candidat
