The thing about being away is that you miss a lot of important news, like Ike and poor Gilchrist, TX; or the fact that Palin dropped 10 approval points over the weekend, or, most sadly, that novelist David Foster Wallace committed suicide this past weekend. URGENT: Babi Badalov Detained and to Be Deported

I have some bad news! Babi was detained yesterday (tuesday) when attending his weekly signing at the UK Border Agency building in Cardiff. He is now in Rumney police station in Cardiff and is due to be take to a detention centre very soon. He has been given deportation directions for this Saturday 20/9.

Oops, Photos of Production Volt LeakedFinally, a look at the production version of the GM Volt plug-in hybrid. These are from a media site (explaining the guys in suits standing around - they are engineers who worked on the Volt), and according to the Detroit News, the leak was accidental.
